Class Presentations and Discussions |
|
You participate in class discussions over the phone. PARSEC will provide a phone number to join in on a
conference call that includes the entire class. Nothing is missed. For the benefit of all students involved,
and to minimize your distractions, please keep background noise down during class.
You view class presentations through a web browser over the Internet. Supported browsers are IE 4.01 or greater
and Netscape 4.06 or greater. The browser must be configured to run JAVA software. If JAVA is not enabled for
your broser, go to www.java.com to download and install JAVA.
The browser setup may be tested by going to
https://www.hpe-learning.com/testsetup/.
Please test the setup the week before class starts.

Accessing Class Systems |
|
To access the OpenVMS systems for class exercises and labs, you must have a terminal emulator that supports
telnet or SSH. If you have one you normally use, this may be used for class. If not, you may download and
install PuTTY or TeraTerm Pro.
Additional information about these may be found on our resources page.
Your terminal emulation and access to classroom systems may be tested by connecting via telnet to
class.parsec.com and entering a username and password of
"student_test".
